Career Transition

Strategies Are More Important Than Ever

Every day there are millions of people searching for new employment. Their success will be built on their approach as well as their ability to execute a proactive strategy.

Successful career transitions are done in phases. We will partner with you through every phase and champion your efforts along the way. During the career transition period we are given a chance to make choices based on what phase we are in of our career.

Where You Are Is Not Always Where You are Going

Thoughtful planning will allow you to choose what type of work you want to continue, and what kind of work you want to stop. Accept that some things will be left behind.

Self introspection: We often take what we do and how we’ve become successful for granted. This is a good time to assess your greatness and strategically position yourself for the future.

Resumes

It is so much easier to craft a winning resume when you partner with someone who can help take the pain out of documenting your career journey. As grueling as It can be, it can also be fun to rediscover passion, marketable strengths, and qualities that differentiate you on paper. Energize your brand by knowing and telling your story.

Transition Research Strategy

Among the many phases of a solid transition plan is creating and executing research strategies that help to align your skills with a target job market. Proactive searches aren’t about staying on job boards, but they include strong strategies for networking and interviewing success.

Interview Strategy

Career conversations are best when there is a good rhythm to an engaging dialogue about a mutual topic.

Interviewing is like a dance. You’ve gotta stay in step. Sometimes you’ll lead the conversation and at other times you’ll follow. When you talk about what distinguishes you from other applicants, you’re leading. If you’re actively listening it’s a good time to follow. You and the interviewer hear the same beat, speak the same lyrics to a melody that makes a great match.

The formula for effective interviewing includes one thing for sure.

Prepare… Practice… Reflect… Repeat… Prepare… Practice… Reflect… Repeat

Online Communications Strategy

Technology & Social Media

Technology plays a much larger role in the recruitment and hiring process than ever before. Social media grants you worldwide visibility and access to contacts that can influence your career trajectory. While your resume is essential to your communications strategy, so is your LinkedIn presence. We will help you to create a profile that will attract more attention from recruiters and hiring managers.

Changing Careers In Today’s Job Market

If you're following the news, you are aware that the unemployment rate in the United States during Q4 2020 was 6.7 percent, causing the worst competitive job market in almost a century. While I hope that no one reading this article has been adversely impacted by the current state of affairs in today’s job market, chances are that you either have been or know someone who has been negatively impacted by the global COVID-19 pandemic and the stock market’s influence on job security. While it might not be optimal, the good news is that the unemployment rate is declining in the United States.

Yes, there are jobs! So, what do we do now?

The best YOU can do now is to be READY! If you have been separated or anticipate being separated from an employer, use this time wisely to get ahead of the pack! We are in a fast moving society so we must act swiftly, beginning with having a great positive attitude.
